Sketching from Nature - Watercolor Class
Join us to create your own nature sketch.
Time: 10am - 12 noon
Date: Saturday November 16th
Inspired by Albertus Seba’s Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, we will learn to observe and sketch directly from specimens to make your own framed nature plate. Krys DeMauro, co-owner of Icarus + co., will provide a brief demo and then guide you as you translate what you learn from the natural objects into a 4x6in work of art.
Students will have the ability to work in pencil, gouache, or watercolor. All materials and natural specimens will be provided. This is an introductory class, no prior experience is required.
You will walk away with a framed, 4x6in work of your own art.
Class size: 12 people
Note this is a single, 2 hour class.
Class takes place at the Nolita shop in New York, 173 Elizabeth Street.
You must cancel with 48 hours notice in order to receive a refund.
